阐释学翻译理论视角下《伤寒论》叠词英译探析*

摘要：

整理归纳《伤寒论》中的叠词并分为描述症状情态、修饰症状特征、突出程度3个类别，在阐释学翻译理论视角下对比剖析罗希文《伤寒论》英译本（罗本）、魏迺杰《伤寒论》英译本（魏本）和刘国辉《伤寒论》英译本（刘本）中的叠词翻译特点。罗本以读者为中心，多采用归化的翻译策略；魏本、刘本以原文为中心，多采用直译增译相结合的翻译策略。基于翻译四步骤的参照分析，3个英译本在基本实现文本完整性的同时，较好地保留了其文化内涵。建议未来《伤寒论》叠词英译在全面理解叠词含义的前提下，注重异化的翻译策略以保留原文特色及声韵特点，并通过注释、中英对照等“补偿”手段呈现完整的中医药文化内涵，充分发挥斯坦纳翻译理论优势，助力中医药文化在全球范围内的传播与接受。

Abstract：

This paper summarized the reduplications in Shang Han Lun and divided them into three categories: description of symptom presentation, modification of symptom characteristics, and emphasis of extent. From the perspective of hermeneutic translation theory, the translation features of reduplications in the translation of Shang Han Lun by LUO Xiwen, WEI Naijie and Liu Guohui were comparatively analyzed. LUO adopted a reader-centered approach and tended to domesticate in translation. WEI and LIU focused on the original text and tended to employ literal translation combined with compensatory amplification. Under the analysis of the fourfold translation motion, the three translations achieved textual integrity while effectively preserved the cultural connotations. For the future translation of reduplications in Shang Han Lun, a foreignizing strategy is recommended to preserve the linguistic and rhythmic features based on a comprehensive understanding, supplemented by annotations or bilingual glosses to fully convey the cultural connotations of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). This approach will optimize the advantages of Steiner's translation theory and facilitate the global dissemination and acceptance of TCM culture.
